When: March 17th 2019, from 8:30am to 4:30pm
Where: Shoreline Community Church at 125 NE 185th St., Shoreline, WA.
As we age, the number of things that make us laugh sometimes seem to be fewer and fewer. However, for me, they’re more and more! The more I see, the more things amuse me. So, I will definitely want to attend the upcoming Care Conference at Shoreline Community Church on March 17th! I’m especially excited to see one of the most entertaining speakers on the topics of Aging and Dementia.
In my opinion, Teepa Snow is part Comedian and part Dementia Whisperer. I have learned more about seniors with memory issues from her than any traditional class I’ve taken. After hearing Teepa speak, Concierge Care Advisors will be on hand to help with any questions you have on “what do I do now?” This conference and out Advisors will provide tools for providing care for loved ones. Topics include: caregiving, dementia, and the many forms of Alzheimer’s as well as end-of-life issues.
Who: Teepa Snow
A little about Teepa Snow: She is a graduate of Duke University of North Carolina and she is an occupational therapist with over 35 years of experience in geriatrics, and is currently working as an international dementia care and education specialist.
Who: Sue Stults
The other guest speaker is Sue Stults, the Founder and President of Compelled by Compassion, Inc., as well as a professional keynote speaker, chaplain, and author. Sue has studied elder care and end-of-life issues for more than twenty years. In her groundbreaking book Reaching Beyond the Rail, and its companion book, The Personal Health Care Manual, Sue provides a blueprint for navigating your way through the critical and stressful times of caring for your aging or ill parent.
