Concierge Care Advisors is honored to introduce Sylvana Rinehart. With a 20+ year career in the eldercare field with an emphasis on guiding families to make the best decision for their loved ones, Sylvana has worked as a Community Relations Director in a continuing care residential setting, in assisted living, and in memory care communities. She was the Executive Director of a Memory Care Community, and that experience, combined with many years in long-term care, has given her a full appreciation and understanding of the complexities in the eldercare field.
Sylvana’s introduction to eldercare began when she and her husband were in Burma, where she regularly visited a dilapidated colonial-style Old Folks Home for destitute elderly women. She showed them how to quilt, and they taught her how to be in the moment. Since then, she has been reminded of the importance of being present and attentive. This is reinforced by having lived in numerous foreign countries, fluency in many languages, and the impact of extensive exposure to other ways of thinking and being.
Sylvana’s traits can be described as passionate about eldercare, joyful, always ready to jump into action, empathetic, and compassionate. She lives in Edmonds with her husband Bob and their Portuguese Water Dog “Tejo,” named after the river in Lisbon, Portugal, where they met many years ago. She has 3 wonderful stepchildren and one step-grandchild.
