We know how difficult and overwhelming navigating senior living can be, whether it’s for yourself or for a loved one. There are so many tools and resources available in your neighborhood you can turn to that you may not be aware of, such as Senior Centers. They’re a great community service centered around and providing support for seniors and families by creating monthly and even weekly events. There is generally a Center in each city around Puget Sound and one could be in an area near you. They provide a place for seniors to socialize and provide support for families and caregivers such as food aide, or short daily events like bingo or luncheons, providing a form of outing for seniors who may simply be seeking a change of scenery. Most senior centers are also involved in fairs that happen often during the year and always have a huge turnout – you’ll find a CCA booth at your local senior fair!
Locate your nearest senior center and pay a visit to experience a place full of support from other seniors and family members. They can provide resources that may help you and your loved one while still living in the community. If you’re feeling like a senior center may not be the right fit, likely because you or your loved one requires more assistance than a senior center can provide, call us – we are here to guide you on the right path to a better way of living and most importantly, a safer way.
